Hi, in this Blog Post, I am sharing an Idea, How do you make money from Affiliate niche websites with a $200 Budget?
People often ask how much would you need to profitably launch an affiliate site that has the potential to make anywhere between $500 and $1,000 per month in a few months? And if you too were looking for that, keep on reading because this strategy is for you.
Before starting, I would like to thank Gagandeep Kaur, as she allows me to write a blog post on her website space to connect with her audience.
Let’s start
1. NICHE RESEARCH
This is the first and most important step in the entire process. Without it, it’s sure that you are pretty much running towards failure.
Why is important to focus on a niche?
- To Reduce the Competition
- Easier to Become an Expert
- Reduce Resources
- Create a Community
The key variables you need to ALWAYS keep in mind when selecting a niche are:
- Targets a passionate audience
- Targets a very specific problem/Interest
- It has enough monthly search volume
- It´s something you care about
- It has low competition
2. DOMAIN
Once you have brainstormed at least 5 potential niches you feel you can build a site around, then it´s time to buy the domain.
I strongly suggest you get a .com domain and not some crappy .xyz, .info or .store crap.
Nothing generates more trust than visiting a .com site.
There are hundreds of domain registrar sites out there. One of my favorites is Google Domains.
You can get a .com domain for $12-$15 per year.
What name to choose?
This is very important and still something many don´t pay too much attention to.
- Keep it simple, short, and specific
- It´s easy to pronounce and spell
- Avoid numbers and hyphens
- Make it brandable
- Try using the main keyword
- Try domain name generators

Do you know that you can get a domain name for free for the first year? Well, continue to read the next point to know the process for a free domain name.
3. HOSTING
I strongly suggest you get the CHOICE PLUS Plan from the Bluehost Shared Hosting plan and the BABY Plan from the Hostgator Shared Hosting Plan.
Why those companies?
Those are the companies that performed the best in several tests conducted by our buddies when trying to determine the best hosting providers in 2022.
Also, if you buy a hosting plan for a minimum of one year from the above hosting providers, you can get a domain name for free for the first year.
You can get a hosting plan for approx. $60 per year.

4. THEMES AND PLUGINS
In regards to themes, I prefer using a lightweight, fully responsive, and, fast-loading theme. In my relatively short experience in this field, these are my favorites…
- Astra Pro
- GeneratePress
- OceanWP
- Neve
- Newspaper by tagDiv
When it comes to plugins…
- SEO – Rank Math (yeap, that`s right!)
- Performance Booster – WP Rocket
- Image Optimization – Imagify (Smush Pro or ShortPixel will also do the trick – Make sure to pick one that offers webp image conversions)
- Security – WordFence
- Page Builder – Elementor (ignore if you go with Newspaper theme)
- Email Autoresponder – Mailchimp
That´s pretty much it!
5. CONTENT
Don´t worry if you´re NOT a writer. I am not a writer myself (even tho I enjoy writing).
You won’t be writing anything!
These are some of the best ways you can get fresh, current, and targeted content for you to take it and rewrite your own.
- Download YouTube Videos subtitles
- Translate content from other languages
- Quora & Reddit
There are many other alternatives from where you can get content for your blog but, for now, let´s focus on those.
6. SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
SEO, it´s nothing but turning any site into a more “search engine friendly” site.
Meaning, optimizing it following a set of well-known rules, guidelines, and factors that will improve the chances of your site being, not only found but also, in compliance with what search engines expect from it.
What is the end price of having a fully SEO-optimized site?
Better rankings on the search results!
Think of Google as a real state manager with limited houses (each position on its ranking) to “rent” (the word “rent” is key here).
Have you ever wondered what determines what pages will Google display at the top of its results?
For example, let´s say you´re still targeting the keyword “Best Hosting Under $100”.
What pages should appear in #1 or #5 positions?
This is where SEO comes into place.
Unfortunately, this isn´t an exact science, and mastering SEO takes a lifetime. I´ve only been doing this for the past year or so, and even though I feel fully capable of ranking any site from any industry on the first page of Google with the right budget and time frame. I am aware I am light years ahead to call myself an SEO Expert.
Ok, so…What are the key areas I need to focus on to fully optimized my site for SEO?
If you encounter some issues, feel free to PM me. I am more than happy to help!
WRAPPING UP
Alright, guys are the time, to sum up, our budget to this point!
We have…
- domain name = $15 or Free (for first year)
- Shared Hosting = $60
- Premium WordPress Theme = $60
- WP Rocket = $49
All this adds up to a total of $184!!!
Now, if you want to speed things up, I highly recommend investing in some paid advertising on social media to build your presence there the fastest and start growing your audience the right way!
If you decide to walk down this road I highly recommend for you to wait until you´ve covered the first topic in full. Meaning, don´t start running any ads until you have around 10-15 articles posted on your site about a specific topic.
I hope you guys find this helpful.
Feel free to drop your comments, questions, insights, feedback, doubts, or anything else you would like to share.
More than happy to open a debate about any points here.
